We have been blessed to have the professional expertise of one of New Zealand’s finest pianists and accompanists to provide music for Sunday services, funerals, weddings and other occasions.

Colleen has recently moved to take up another position.  We are grateful for the wonderful contribution Colleen has made to our services and musical life at St Matthew's.  We wish Colleen and Michael all the very best and look forward to seeing them again when they visit Hastings.

St Matthew’s Choir

St Matthew’s small but able Parish Choir. At the 10am Sunday services, the choir leads the hymns and Eucharist when it is sung. Choir practices are held on Wednesday evenings.

Instruments

St Matthew’s has a very fine pipe organ and a Bechstein grand piano, both of which are used in services.

With its fine acoustics and extensive performance area, organ and piano, St Matthew's is regularly used by local choirs, orchestra ensembles and recitalists. Check for coming events on this website.
